How do they work?

Please note, while probiotics are generally safe/low risk (and have lots of great benefits!) they are not completely without risk. The use of probiotics in pregnancy has been linked with increased risk of pre eclampsia and should be discussed with your healthcare provider before commencing if pregnant to weigh up the specific risk for you.
