Lentil patties

Equipment

  • 1 stove
  • 1 blender
  • 1 frying pan

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup soaked and drained lentils
  • cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 handfuls baby spinach leaves
  • 1 egg (optional but does help it bind)
  • 1 tbsp heaped cassava flour

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until smooth batter. Add more water if needed
  • Heat some coconut oil or ghee in frying pan over medium heat and fry like pancakes!

AGE APPROPRIATE:
6 months+
Lentils are rich in minerals, fibre, protein and iron - nice and soft which makes a great food for your baby!
