Dutch oven or oven-safe pot with a lid I use a Le Creusset
Ingredients
1kgbeef short ribs
1tbsptamari*soy allergen
1cinnamon coil
2star anise
1red apple cut into quarters
2cupbone broth
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees
Add all ingredients to a dutch oven (or an oven safe pot with a lid), ensuring the ribs are meat side down and covered completely with the broth. Bones can be sticking out of the liquid
Place into the oven covered with a lid and cook for three hours. At the three hour mark, check the ribs to see they are tender and falling off the bone. If not, continue to cook for up to another hour if necessary
