These homemade elderberry immunity gummies are packed with nourishing ingredients to support your child’s immune system during cold and flu season. Made with elderberry syrup, gut-loving gelatin, and vitamin C-rich cherry juice, they’re a fun, fuss-free way to boost wellness the whole family will enjoy.
Why We Love These:
Elderberries have long been known for their immune-boosting properties, especially during cold and flu season. These little gummies are a fun and simple way to offer daily immune support, especially for kids who love a treat.
We use this elderberry juice (discount code BOOBTOFOOD for orders over $99).
Age Suitability:
From 12 months+ (due to the use of honey).
For under 12 months, omit sweetener.
Storage:
- Store in the fridge for up to 10 days in an airtight container.
- Not freezer-friendly (it affects the texture of the gelatin).
Serving Suggestions:
- Offer 1–2 gummies per day for little ones.
- Adults can enjoy them too—these are for the whole family!
- Pack into lunchboxes (with a cold pack).
Ingredient Swaps:
- Juice: Swap cherry for orange, lemon or blackcurrant juice for extra vitamin C.
- Sweetener: Use maple syrup for a vegan option, or leave out altogether.
- Gelatin: Ensure you’re using a high-quality, gut-supportive gelatin powder—this is what gives the gummies their shape and supports digestion and immunity. We like to use this one (code BOOBTOFOOD orders over $99).
Moulds:
You can get moulds on Amazon, Kmart or even Woolworths/Coles. I use these ones a lot from Nutraorganics (code BOOBTOFOOD).
You can also pour the mixture into a shallow baking dish and cut it into cubes if you don’t have moulds.
