Order nowAddIng a vegetables to a naturally sweet toddler snack is another great way to up their vegetables intake. The beetroot adds a really lovely texture.
This are so quick to make up and clean up. No blender required!
Beetroot and date bliss balls
- 6 fresh medjool dates (soaked in hot water for 5 minutes)
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup flax meal
- 1/4 cup hemp seeds + 3 to 4 tablespoons for garnish
- 1/4 cup almond butter
- 1/2 cup grated beetroot
After you have soaked and drained your dates, mash them well with a fork.
Combine all of the ingredients into a bowl and stir well to combine. Mash the mixture with a fork to ensure all of the dates and nut butter have distributed evenly.
Roll into balls about one heaped tablespoons ( roughly 30 grams)
Roll in some hemp seeds and store in the fridge for up to 5 days or 3 months in the freezer
