    These kofta’s are great for the whole family! They are appropriate from 6 months old, and are high in iron, which is an important nutrient our little ones require. If serving to the whole family, we like to eat these in some wraps with a greek yoghurt/cumin/lemon sauce, some sauerkraut and salad. Delicious!

    Lamb and Liver Koftas

    • Mixing Bowl
    • Frying Pan
    • Spatula or Tongs
    • 500 grams lamb mince
    • 1 big handful flat leaf parsley (finely chopped)
    • 1 zest of lemon
    • 2 tsp cumin
    • 1 tsp garlic powder

    Optional:

    • 1-2 raw chicken livers, finely chopped or if frozen grate (OR 1-2 serves desiccated liver powder)
    1. Add all ingredients into a bowl, and using your hands, mix together until combined

    2. Roll the mixture into small sausage shapes (approximately 9-12)

    3. Place a frying pan on a medium-high heat, and add 1 TBSP ghee or olive oil, once hot, add the koftas. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan (you may have to do this in batches).

    4. Cook, turning occasionally, for 10 minutes or until cooked through

    AGE APPROPRIATE: 6 months +
