    • Oven
    • Dutch oven or oven-safe pot with a lid
    • Oven mitts or gloves
    • 1 kg beef short ribs
    • 1 tbsp tamari**
    • 1 cinnamon coil
    • 2 star anise
    • 1 red apple cut into quarters
    • 2 cup bone broth
    1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees

    2. Add all ingredients to a dutch oven (or an oven safe pot with a lid), ensuring the ribs are meat side down and covered completely with the broth. Bones can be sticking out of the liquid

    3. Place into the oven covered with a lid and cook for three hours. At the three hour mark, check the ribs to see they are tender and falling off the bone. If not, continue to cook for up to another hour if necessary

AGE APPROPRIATE: When tolerating soy (tamari)**

** Notes: tamari is an allergen (soy) you can swap out for coconut aminos if soy is not tolerated.
