About the recipe
This whipped banana ricotta is a creamy high-fat snack perfect for babies and toddlers to introduce dairy into your baby’s diet.
This creamy whipped banana ricotta is the perfect first food blend — soft, naturally sweet, and packed with healthy fats and protein to support your baby’s growth and development. The combination of banana and ricotta makes for a lovely texture and flavour that’s usually a big hit with little tastebuds.
Ricotta is one of our favourite ways to introduce dairy, as it’s mild in taste, and lower in sodium than other cheeses. Its also naturally high in calcium and protein.
It also takes just one minute to make, with no cooking required. A great addition to any snack plate or meal.
Age Suitable:
Suitable from around 7 months+, once your baby is on 2 meals a day and you’re ready to introduce dairy.
Soft, smooth, and easy to spoon-feed or use as a dip for finger foods.
Serving Suggestions
Spoon feed directly or let baby self-feed with pre-loaded spoons
Use as a dip for soft fruit, pancake fingers or toast
Spread on crumpets or rice cakes for toddlers
Swirl through porridge or baked oats for added protein and creaminess
