These little morsels of deliciousness are an amazing snack for your little one (or yourself) full to the brim of beautiful healthy fats and protein to keep them sustained and hopefully out of the fridge every 2 minutes asking for a snack.
I’d recommend these ones for over 12 months as cacao does contain caffeine, or swap out the cacao for Carob powder to make them caffeine free.
Fat Bomb Gelatin Gummies
Equipment
- Saucepan
- Whisk
- Silicone moulds
- Refrigerator
Ingredients
- 400 ml coconut cream or full-fat thickened cream AYAM coconut cream works best
- 400 ml water
- 5 TBSP grass-fed gelatin
- 2 eggs
- 2 TBSP cacao powder
- 2 TBSP ghee or butter
- 2 TBSP maple syrup
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a saucepan and heat gently on low, whisking constantly until the mixture is thickened and all gelatin dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into silicone moulds of choice and pop in the fridge until set.
Notes
Will last 3 days in the fridge
You can freeze gummies, but when defrosting they often melt so I would encourage consuming these fresh. *ghee or butter can be substituted for coconut oil for dairy free
*eggs can be omitted if not tolerated
*swap cacao for carob powder to make caffeine free
*maple syrup can be omitted which I’d recommend for under 12 months
