You can add an extra 1 cup bone broth to turn this into a puree

Nutrient Dense Sweet Potato Mash

GF | DF | RSF | NF

  • Oven
  • Baking sheet or roasting pan
  • Steamer
  • Grater
  • Cooking utensils
  • pot
  • 600g sweet potato
  • 3 tbsp roasted bone marrow
  • 3 tbsp bone broth
  • 2 egg yolks ((optional but makes it creamier))
  • 1 small garlic clove
  1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and roast the marrow bones for roughly 25 minutes

  2. Peel and chop the sweet potato into small cubes and steam until soft

  3. In a large bowl, mash the sweet potato and add in the bone marrow. Stir in the egg yolks while the mash is hot – they will cook within

  4. Finely grate in the garlic clove and stir in the bone broth. If serving for older children and adults, season with salt to taste

  5. * You can add an extra 1 cup bone broth to turn this into a puree
