Broccoli, Pea, Fennel Puree/Pasta Sauce

This recipe makes enough to freeze for later. I also like to use these as a nourishing pasta sauce you can take straight from the freezer.

Broccoli, Pea, Fennel Puree/Pasta Sauce

Course 1 meal a day, puree, Soup, vegetarian
Servings 5 baby serves

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Steamer
  • cutting board
  • pot
  • Baking sheet or roasting pan

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small head of broccoli
  • 3/4 cup peas
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tbsp roasted fennel
  • 1 cup bone broth Or swap for vegetable stock

Instructions
 

  • Wash the broccoli and remove the florets from the stem. Steam the broccoli florets until just soft, adding the peas in at the end if still frozen to steam also.
  • Add the broccoli and peas to a blender with the avocado, roasted fennel and bone broth
  • Blend until smooth
