Yoghurt Bark

Looking for a fun way to serve yoghurt to your little ones? This Frozen Yoghurt Bark is a playful, refreshing snack that feels like a treat but is packed with nourishing ingredients. Made with just a few fridge staples, it’s perfect for warmer weather or teething relief—and it’s customisable with whatever toppings you have on hand.

We first shared this recipe in our book Toddler to Table, where it quickly became a go-to for families wanting to offer real food in a way that feels exciting and kid-approved. Plus, it’s an easy one to get your toddler involved in—let them sprinkle the toppings for some mealtime autonomy.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve as an afternoon snack or part of a lunchbox (use an ice brick to keep cool).

  • Offer as a teething-friendly option straight from the freezer for little ones.

  • Try using silicone moulds for fun shapes or even single-serve bites.

Age Suitability

  • Suitable from 8 months+, once yoghurt has been tolerated and baby is confidently on solids, just don’t add any choking risk hazards (nuts etc).

  • Omit honey for children under 12 months.

  • Chop or mash any large berries for younger babies.

Storage

  • Store in a freezer-safe container for up to 1 month.

  • Best served straight from the freezer—will melt quickly at room temperature.

Ingredient Swaps

  • Dairy-free? Use coconut yoghurt.

  • Want to boost the nutrition? Add a spoonful of collagen powder or sprinkle with ground seeds. You can also use 1-2 tsp Foraged for You to make it a PINK colour!

  • No fresh fruit? Use frozen berries or thin slices of banana.
