Berry Beet Gummies

GF | DF | EF | RSF | NF

  • Steamer or pot
  • bowl
  •  Blender
  • Small Saucepan
  • Moulds or baking dish
  • knife
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 small beetroot
  • 1 tsp honey ((optional))
  • 2 tbsp gelatin
  • 1/2 cup water
  1. Peel and steam the beetroot until soft

  2. Add the gelatin to the water and mix well, setting the gelatin aside to bloom (thicken)

  3. Add the beetroot and strawberries to a blender with the honey if using, and blend

  4. Pour into a small saucepan and add the bloomed gelatin. Stir over a low heat until the gelatin has dissolved

  5.  Pour into moulds or a baking dish to set in the fridge for at least two hours – if serving to babies under 12 months, cut into finger length strips once set.

The beetroot can be steamed or otherwise you can purchase precooked beetroots in many super markets cryovaced in the fruit and veg section.
