So, gather your little kitchen sidekicks because this isn’t just a recipe; it’s a fun-filled activity perfect for tiny hands to roll their little creations.
This recipe is for our kids over 12 months old – 100 years old! They make the best snack for mums, especially when you’re breastfeeding and starving and only have one hand to eat with!
Gingerbread Christmas Bliss Balls
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup pecans
- 1/3 cup sultanas
- 3/4 cup dried dates
- 1/3 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 TBSP butter/ghee or coconut oil
- 1 TBSP honey
Instructions
- Soak the dried dates in boiling water for 10 minutes – then strain and set aside
- Add the soaked dates to a food processor with the pecans, almond meal, desiccated coconut, sultanas, cinnamon, ginger, honey and melted butter. Process until the mixture comes together
- Begin rolling the bliss balls by taking roughly 1.5 tbsp of the mixture and rolling into balls. Repeat this process until all of the mixture has been rolled
