AGE SUITABLE: When tolerating dairy and fish
You can keep the bones inside the fish for extra calcium as they are so soft just like the bones inside sardines
Mackerel Pate
Equipment
- cutting board
- Blender or Food Processor
- Serving bowl or container
Ingredients
- 120 grams tinned mackerel drained
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese or quark
- 2 tbsp fresh herbs parsley or dill
- 1/4 tsp salt optional
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- Zest of half a lemon
Instructions
- Finely chop the fresh herbs
- Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor and pulse until smooth
- Serve as a toast topper or a nutrient dense dip for other finger foods
