These fritters are perfect for BLW. A rich source of protein, also a great lunch box add for you or your little ones! These can be enjoyed hot or cold, and you can even add an egg, or some avocado to create a wholesome meal.
Baked Bean Fritters
Equipment
- 1 Frypan
- 1 Stirring Spoon
- 1 cutting board
- 1 knife
- 1 small bowl
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup tinned baked beans organic if possible
- 1/4 cup mozzarella
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp flour of choice
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp cooking oil/fat of choice
Instructions
- Remove some baked beans from the tin, leaving behind any excess tomato sauce from the tin
- Add the beans to a small bowl with the egg, mozzarella, flour, onion powder, finely diced garlic clove and salt. Mix gently to combine
- Preheat a frying pan over a medium – high heat and add in the olive oil
- Once hot, begin spooning the batter into the pan. Cook on the first side for 2-3 minutes until golden, then flip and cook on the opposite side for a further 2 minutes until cooked within
