These fritters are perfect for BLW. A rich source of protein, also a great lunch box add for you or your little ones! These can be enjoyed hot or cold, and you can even add an egg, or some avocado to create a wholesome meal.

Baked Bean Fritters

GF | DF | RSF | VG

  • Frypan
  • Stirring Spoon
  • cutting board
  • knife
  • Small Bowl
  • 1/2 cup tinned baked beans (organic if possible)
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp flour of choice
  • 1/4 tsp  onion powder
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil/fat of choice
  1. Remove some baked beans from the tin, leaving behind any excess tomato sauce from the tin 

  2. Add the beans to a small bowl with the egg, mozzarella, flour, onion powder, finely diced garlic clove and salt. Mix gently to combine 

  3. Preheat a frying pan over a medium – high heat and add in the olive oil 

  4. Once hot, begin spooning the batter into the pan. Cook on the first side for 2-3 minutes until golden, then flip and cook on the opposite side for a further 2 minutes until cooked within 

Makes 4 fritters
