About the recipe

This creamy avocado chocolate mousse is rich in healthy fats, fibre, and protein—a nourishing snack or dessert the whole family will love.

Who says chocolate mousse can’t be both delicious and nourishing? This dreamy mousse is made with ripe avocado, banana, creamy macadamias, and a swirl of peanut butter—delivering a wholefood dessert or snack that’s packed with nutrition.

Avocados offer healthy fats, bananas bring natural sweetness, and macadamias add a gentle protein boost. Blend it up in minutes, top with seasonal fruit, and enjoy a treat that’s as wholesome as it is delicious.

We love ours topped with fresh raspberries, pomegranate, or a sprinkle of hemp seeds or bee pollen. A perfect recipe for fussy eaters or kids who love a “treat” without knowing just how nourishing it really is!

Suggested age range:

Suitable from 2 years+ (due to honey and cacao)

Serving suggestions:

  • Serve chilled in a small ramekin or jar
  • Top with fresh berries, pomegranate, or sliced banana
  • Add a sprinkle of hemp seeds, shredded coconut, or bee pollen for extra goodness
  • Great as an afternoon snack, after-dinner dessert, or lunchbox addition (if kept cool)

Storage tips:

Best served fresh. Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.
Not freezer-friendly—freezing will affect the texture.
