Lamb and Liver Koftas
Dairy free, Egg free, Gluten Free, Iron rich, Nut free, Protein rich, Soy free
About the recipe
These lamb liver koftas are a nourishing, iron-rich meal for the whole family. Lamb is naturally high in haem iron, and when combined with liver or a desiccated organ powder, these koftas become a true superfood option for babies, toddlers, and adults alike. The texture is soft enough for baby-led weaning, yet still juicy and flavourful for older children and adults.
They’re quick to prepare and can easily be cooked on the stovetop or barbecue. We love serving them with wraps or yoghurt flatbread, a dollop of Greek yoghurt mixed with lemon and cumin, some fresh herbs, cucumber, sauerkraut, and salad – a meal everyone at the table can enjoy together. You can also freeze a batch for easy weekday lunches or lunchbox additions.
