Lentil Falafel

  • 400 grams lentils (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp za'atar
  • 1 TBSP cassava flour (or flour of choice)
  • Ghee to fry
  1. Place lentils, garlic, cumin and zaatar in blender/food processor and blend until soft. Add in 1 TBSP flour and blend again, if its still quite sticky, add another TBSP flour. The mixture should be soft and squishy but not sticky.

  2. Heat some ghee in frying pan, and shape the mixture into falafel shaped balls or patties

  3. Fry on both sides until cooked through.

  4. I served with hummus, salad, feta and wraps for a quick dinner!

Freezer Friendly: Yes or fridge for 3 days.

i made these last night and they worked out quite well i thought i would share for an Egg Free little pattie! The texture was soft for BLW and great for the whole family, we had ours in wraps.
