Cultured Apple Pie Bircher

Here’s my cultured apple-pie Bircher recipe! Easy to digest, brimming with probiotics and good bacteria to support our gut-microbiome, lots of fibre/fat/protein to balance our blood glucose and of course – an EASY, quick breakfast that can be shared by the whole family.

Servings 3 adults

Equipment

  • 1 bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups rolled oats quinoa flakes work for GF
  • 3 cups kefir Can be milk or coconut, if you don’t have kefir can swap for 2 cups Greek yoghurt and 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1-2 apples grated
  • 2 TBSP chia seeds
  • 2 TBSP hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or powder

Optional

  • 1-2 TBSP maple syrup omit under 12 months
  • 2 serves collagen powder

Instructions
 

  • Add all to a bowl, stir, cover and place in the fridge overnight before serving!

Does not freeze well.
Will keep for 3 days in the fridge.
